Volunteering at the Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair

The 16^th Annual Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair (SRSEF) will be held

March 23-24 at Rosemont High School in Sacramento.

In order to execute the largest science and engineering fair in the region, SRSEF is entirely dependent on service minded individuals who will volunteer their time. It is a rewarding experience, both for our volunteers and for the students, and we hope you will consider registering as a volunteer for the Fair.

Volunteering at the Fair fulfills community service requirements for many area middle and high schools.

Volunteer Job Schedule

Volunteers must register at least 15 minutes before their shift begins. Please check the day(s) and time(s) you wish to volunteer:

Primary Areas of Interest

We will attempt to honor your area(s) of interest, but that may not always be possible.

Please select all areas you may be interested in:

• Set Up – Set up Fair exhibit halls

  • Requires heavy lifting of chairs and tables

• Assembly – Assemble and stuff registration bags and judging packets

• Registration – Register students, judges and volunteers

  • Able to sit for extended periods of time

  • Good communication skills

• General Volunteer – Crowd control, student assistance, etc.

  • Ability to receive and give clear, detailed information

  • Friendly and outgoing

  • Assist public as needed

• Food Services – Assist catering and run snack bar

• Awards Ceremony – Prepare and distribute awards

• Tear Down – Tear down Fair exhibit halls

  • Requires heavy lifting of chairs and tables
